L.P.E. KAWASAKI GEARED UP FOR CURTAIN RAISER AT CAROLE NASH INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE AND SCOOTER SHOW

10/09/2009

The L.P.E. Kawasaki team has announced a title-challenging team ahead of the first rounds of the 2009 / 2010 Future West ACU British Supercross Championship, which takes place for the first time at The Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show on the 28th November and 5th December 2009.

The impressive Kristian Whatley, currently positioned 2nd in both the MMX British Open Championship and The Wulfsport British Masters Championship, will compete alongside team-mate Elliott Banks Browne who has recovered from injury to record recent podium finishes at the MMX Championship and The Ken Hall Trophy. L.P.E. Kawasaki is also looking to strengthen its team by drafting in a top international MX star for the prestigious series.

The Future West ACU British SX Championship is an exciting new addition to the Show which, for the first time, has a dedicated Off-Road Zone with retail and display stands showcasing the latest bikes and kit from all the leading brands. L.P.E. Kawasaki, the official motocross team in the UK for Kawasaki Motors, is looking forward to unveiling the manufacturer's new KX450F model in front of the capacity crowds of six-thousand fans expected at the supercross track in Hall 5 of the NEC. The Kawasaki race truck and display stand will also be present throughout the ten day Show to profile its stable of 2010 models from the Kawasaki off-road range, with team riders on hand to meet fans and sign autographs.

Steve James, Team Manager for L.P.E. Kawasaki commented, "It's great that supercross is part of The Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show this year as it will give both avid fans and those yet to witness the sport the chance to experience the buzz the sport generates. We are hopeful our riders will challenge for the podium however supercross is very unpredictable and that's what makes it so compelling to spectators".

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, said, "L.P.E Kawasaki's decision to support the new Off Road Zone underlines the importance of this fantastic development for the off road scene in the UK. Their race truck display along with competing in the opening round of the Supercross Championship only complements the official Kawasaki UK main stand in Hall 1 and gives a clear indication as to where anyone interested in off road should be heading in November".

The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show takes place between 27th November and 6th December 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham. The 2009 Show will offer an incredible selection of bikes, accessories and components with a range of truly interactive features, all of which will demonstrate to visitors of all ages what the Industry has to offer. Those looking forward to Preview Day can take advantage of the £28 entry fee, which includes all the interactive features free of charge. For the remainder of the Show adults looking to book in advance will once again receive savings on the on the door price.
