Supercross Champs Mike Brown and Carl Nunn to Defend British Titles!

Supercross Champs Mike Brown and Carl Nunn to Defend British Titles!

Defending SX1 and SX2 champion's Mike Brown of America and Britain's own two time British Open Supercross Champion Carl Nunn will both be back to defend their respective British Supercross crowns against an onslaught of international and domestic competition. Round one of the 13th annual Future West ACU British Supercross Championship bursts into life inside the huge Hall 5 at Birmingham's NEC as part of the annual Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter show on Saturday November 28th with round two just one week later on Saturday December 5th at the same venue.

"Being at the NEC this year as part of the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show has opened up some unique opportunities for Supercross and the British Championship" commented Future West's Representative John Hellam. Hellam went on to say "It's been a long time since we last staged an event at the NEC and never before as part of the International Motorcycle show."

This will be Future West's first residency event in the UK as the track will be in for the full 10 day duration of the bike show which will include the first two rounds of the British Supercross Championship and daily Supercross demonstrations on none race days. Dirt Wurx, Rich Winkler, will have a large canvas to perform his magic on at the NEC with twice the normal floor size and twice the amount of dirt normally used for the other British venues. The rest of Hall 5 at the NEC will be converted into an off-road zone that will include a who's who in the industry with all major sanctioning bodies, manufacturers and personalities present. Future West is in the process of organising additional optional practice evenings for riders who will be competing in the championship. The final details are still being worked out but these practice sessions will probably be held on Thursday and Friday evenings prior to the two race days.

From Birmingham the British Supercross Championship will move on to the Liverpool Echo Arena January 23rd before wrapping up at The O2 Arena in London on January 30th.

To get your tickets for this all star bike show and Supercross extravaganza call The Ticket Factory at the NEC on 0844 338 8000 and for more info on the British Supercross Championship visit www.fwsx.com

SUPERCROSS REGS

Sadly the little bit of summer we have had this year will soon fade into Autumn and the overworked MX jet washers of the nation will get a well deserved break from the endless toil of mud removal they have had to endure this year.

The good news is Supercross season is not far away and every round is indoors in the country's best venues with all the creature comforts you could wish for, all warm, dry, weatherproof and civilized, that is until the riders take to the track when all civility disappears in the serious pursuit of British Supercross Championship titles.

As of today the ACU will be accepting entries for this year's Future West ACU/FIM British Supercross Championship in the following classes

SX1
SX2
British Open Pro
Clubman Open
Clubman Lights
Youth Lights
Supermini
Small Wheel
65cc
Autos
Quads Open

All classes will run at all four rounds.
