BELFAST BLAST OFF!
Just four months remain until the start of the 14th Annual Future West ACU British Supercross Championship at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast Northern Ireland on October 22nd and 23rd things are definitely starting to heat up in the Future West camp.
This year’s championship will feature the best arena venues in Britain starting at Belfast before moving on to a one spectacular night at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Saturday November 27th. The series will once again wrap up at The O2 arena in London on Saturday February 5th in conjunction with the nearby London Excel Motorcycle Show.
With four rounds scheduled and three of the four before the New Year riders and teams are lining up. Future West is hard at work making sure the best of the Brits and a good international field are set for the drop of the gate at round 1. Already confirmed is last year’s British Supercross Champion and Ulster native Gordon Crockard. Birmingham’s Steven Clarke who is currently competing in America will return home to compete at all four rounds of the series before starting the East Coast Supercross series in America. Speaking of American’s the formidable Zach Osborne has once again been confirmed for all rounds riding a Dixon Yamaha. Zach’s British Supercross teammate and crowd pleaser Kyle Beaton of Canada will also be returning to the UK to compete in this years series. Alaskan Ben Lemay who is currently living in the UK will also return to the series after an impressive 2009/2010 British Supercross campaign. South African Neville Bradshaw will make a welcomed return to the series after taking last season off. Bradshaw has shown tremendous skill indoors over the years and is sure to be back on the podium this year. Also confirming for Belfast is Northern Ireland PAR Homes Honda rider Martin Barr.
As always the best of British Youth and Amateur will be racing each evening alongside the pros and the ever entertaining Quad class. Regs for this years series will be available through the ACU at the end of the week and tickets are on sale for every event through www.ticketmaster.co.uk
